I was amazed at how calm and not-nervous I was that day. For anyone that knows me well, you will know that I have a terribly nervous stomach and usually freak over big events. But for some reason, I slept well the night before, and had a great day leading up to the ceremony! We started our day with a catered breakfast from Chick-fil-A (are you surprised?!) and then it was off for hair and makeup! I ended up completely re-doing my makeup later in the day, but it was still nice to be pampered for a bit ;)
After hair and makeup, it was a nice relaxed lunch in my suite while we all hung out and watched Madagascar (hey, it's a cute movie!)
So here are some fun details.
My bouquet was my absolute favorite...I chose rich fall colors, with lot's of texture for all of my flowers that night. My flowers were wrapped in a sweet red tie from my late grandfather, and adorned with one of his old handerchiefs.
My dress was a simple mermaid style gown with rouching all the way down (to which I should have paid more attention to a diet plan beforehand!) :):)
My jewelry (all thanks to some fantastic finds by my mom!)
My shoes (duh)
I chose a white orchid with some fun feathers for my hair
The final "look"
Me and my girls!
There is no telling what all of the guys got into that day getting ready, but I have some ideas :) Anthony got them all Adidas shell toes for their groomsman gifts, to which they promptly changed into after the ceremony!
Anthony and my dad...
...looking at this! :)
Those crazy boys!
Overall, I am SO thankful that I was able to spend my day relaxed and just waiting for a great party! And no, no pills or cocktails necessary ;)
