I wish there was a way to insert the funny little theme song the Harlem Globetrotters have, but that is far beyond my expertise on this thing. You know, the cute little "da da dada da ta da, daaadada..." Whatever, it sounds good in my head!
Either way, a few weeks ago Anthony was able to score us a couple of tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters and I was so excited! I have always wanted to go see them, and since his company has a box, we had great seats and free parking (shout out to CoolRay Heating & Air!)
It was hilarious...I didn't really know what to expect, but had so much fun. There was a ton of great music, funny skits and lots of pranks. The opening act was great, and it's amazing to see such crazy things they can do with a basketball. I often found myself wondering what would happen if they actually played a real NBA team?! Who would win? I am sure the Globetrotters would foul out in the first few minutes, but I bet it would be a good match (Kobe Bryant take that!)
The funniest part was that "Special K," the team captain, wore a microphone the entire time, so you could hear everything that happened on the court. Insert: lots of "poot" noises and wisecracks. Of course, I thought it was hilarious (then again, I always think "poot" noises are funny - yes, I am a 10-year-old boy in a 29-year-old's body).
Anywho, below are some pictures from the game. I wish I could insert a video, but again, that is way beyond my area of expertise.

Overall, it was a really fun day and something that you don't normally get to do on a Saturday!
PS - How sad is it that when I first started working here in Atlanta, I was in the elevator with Dominique Wilkins (Basketball Hall-of-Famer and former Hawks player), and didn't even know it! Boy, I was clueless!
I am so glad y'all were able to go. Sounds like fun. I saw them once when I was younger for a school thing, but I wouldn't mind seeing them again as an adult.
